Prevost Clubs Are Takin’ it to the Streets, the Air, and the Wilderness

Prevost owner groups are all about togetherness – enjoying one-another’s company, sharing common interests, spending quality time with family and friends, and just having a good time.
That’s why rallies are a prime activity for these clubs, and most organize several each year. The owners and their guests converge on the chosen destination, and fill several leisurely days taking in attractions that the locale has to offer.
This summer, two of those groups are heading out with that purpose in mind, but for activities that are oh, so different...
Royale Coach Club: EAA AirVenture Mini Rally, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, July 23-29
This summer the Royale Coach Club returns to Oshkosh for the fourth year in a row. But the Experimental Aircraft Association’s AirVenture is that kind of event – always something new and exciting to see and do.
The EAA has been organizing an annual Fly-In Convention for almost 60 years, and AirVenture Oshkosh (its name since 1998) has grown to become one of the world’s premier aviation events. 
During its weeklong run, AirVenture attracts more than 10,000 airplanes of all types and 500,000 people. The EAA describes it as an event where “participants can study the latest aircraft and innovations; discover new ideas and techniques from the nearly 1,000 forums and workshops; see aviation's top personalities; or just talk airplanes with people from around the world.”
Fortunately, through all the growth and success, it hasn’t lost its friendly, homey atmosphere – another reason why the Royale Coach Club members keep coming back.

Bus ’n Bikers: Glacier National Park Rally, July 29-August 4, and Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, August 6-12
The Bus ’n Bikers club combines the interests of the motorhome and motorcycle lifestyles – a natural when you think about it. You can travel to your destination in the comfort of your Prevost motorhome, then use your other favorite conveyance, your motorcycle, to explore the area.
This year’s summer event gives members two rallies back to back, so they can attend either one, or both. First the Bus ’n Bikers head for northwest Montana, to Glacier National Park, with is pristine wilderness, beautiful mountains and lakes, and about every outdoor activity you can think of. It’s a great place for families, because there’s something to interest just about anyone... wilderness hiking, whitewater rafting, golfing, horseback riding, boat cruises, fishing, and of course the magnificent scenery.
The Bus ’n Bikers group is staying at the West Glacier KOA, an ideal base camp with premium RV sites, all the amenities, and located close to the park’s west entrance in the village of West Glacier. This also is the western end of the “Going-to-the-Sun Road,” which winds the 52 miles/83 kilometers through the park from West Glacier to St. Mary. It takes you across the Continental Divide at Logan Pass, and through some of the most spectacular landscapes on the planet.
They spend a week in this haven for family fun, then on August 4 they head southeast on Interstate 90 into South Dakota and the town of Spearfish. Here they’ll settle in at the Elkhorn Ridge RV Park – an upscale, full-service resort and campground with 186 RV sites, plus cabin sites, shower and laundry facilities, swimming pool, playground, gift shop and a general store.
Spearfish isn’t their ultimate destination, though. That’s another 20 miles down the road in Sturgis, S.D., where they’re set for a week of somewhat more “adult” fun – the 72nd annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. 
This rally celebrates everything motorcycle, and hosting the event has made this small town on the edge of the Black Hills famous worldwide. Five blocks of Main Street are closed for bikes-only parking for the week, and there are concerts, races, bike shows, and the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame. There also are organized rides to nearby must-sees like Mount Rushmore, Devil’s Tower, Custer State Park, the Badlands, and the infamous town of Deadwood.
The event is to motorcycling what EAA AirVenture is to aviation, and the town of Sturgis, with its 6,400 inhabitants, embraces its place as a biker mecca. Their down-home hospitality every year keeps the crowds – more than 450,000 last year – coming back for more.
